Yes! You need to check the location of the nearest tower of your network provider as the standard antenna can accept signal within 170 degrees. In case towers are located on the opposite side of your property and your antenna, you need to upgrade your system by adding a second antenna so you can receive signal from all locations.
Here’s a simple, quick test to check whether your place is suitable for a signal booster.
The only thing you should do is check your outside signal strength on your mobile phone.
Here’s how to do it:
All our products are of high-quality and are capable of simultaneously supporting multiple devices. The limit for each booster mainly depends on its output power or ‘dBs’. Below we have provided a list of devices and their support limit converted to dBs:
Estimations can also be made using this table:
Coverage in square meters | Number of supported users |
Up to 150 sq m | Up to 25 users |
Up to 300 sq m | Up to 50 users |
Up to 600 sq m | Up to 75 users |
Up to 1500 sq m | Up to 150 users |
With this simple and quick test, you can check whether your place is suitable for a signal booster or not. What you need to do is to check your outside signal strength on your mobile phone. Here are the steps to do that.

Hi, I am only getting 1 sometime 2 bars from Telstra even though I am about 1 kilometre from the tower (as the crow flies) do I need to know lthe frequency and the serving cell info before purchasing as I have been told this?? I have done a search and took photos of the information but as a untech person I want to make sure I get the correct booster, can you help thank you Dennis ps, I could send the photos if desired..
Hello Dennis, I can definitely help you. You can send us an email so that we can answer all your questions real time. Do you want to improve your calls or data? Or both?
I live in Yamba NSW and have a Telstra Nighthawk wifi modem. It works fine with 3 to 4 bars – appart from holiday times when tourists overload the local service and we get 1 to 2 bars . Having spent hours trying to gain satisfaction with Telstra, I was finally told its a capacity issue and planned upgrades have no certainty. My question is; will this unit help if the tower capacity is exhausted by all the holidaymakers before signals can reach me? I spoke with a arial supplier last holiday period and was told it won’t help if the tower output just isn’t available. Other question; will it work with Telstra Knighthawk units? Cheers
Hello, The boosters that we have can boost all devices that has a simcard. If you get 1-3 bars of outside reception, the booster can help yu get 4-5 bars inside.
